Differentiated instruction is essential for a successful classroom.

I firmly believe that there is no exact standard any child can adhere to completely, and that striving for perfection instead of true growth can be detrimental to the student’s motivation and determination. Visual, kinesthetic, and auditory learners will all be welcome in my classroom , I will have a variety of manipulatives, seating styles, activities, etc. to help each group do their absolute best. This was difficult during my last semester student teaching, where we were virtual. To remedy this, my lessons for my bilingual second grade class included us doing experiments together, watching lots of videos together, and having them participate in drag and drop powerpoint independent practice. Accommodations are also essential when teaching an integrated classroom with students with special needs. Providing for students with different needs allows for a better teacher-student relationship with them and can help them be more honest about how they feel about assignments or even their own academic performance.
